Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. In Charleston O'Dell's stories regarding the police's lenient approach to DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the state authorities re-issuing a more stringent directive regarding DUI situations. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. O'Dell's work in Charleston has led to her serving as a co-anchor, reporter and anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV.
